Rocco Salimbeni
Rocco Salimbeni from Aquaro (CZ) studied in the Vatican Colleges in Rome (in Via della Scopa), then graduating from the Art School of Reggio Calabria. In 1963 he enrolled at the Academy of Naples and attended the retouching school, where he retouched works by the great masters (Mattia Preti, etc.). Rocco Salimbeni was born in Acquaro (CZ) on March 13, 1941 and disappeared from his life on January 4, 1986 in Catanzaro.
The artist has shown flattering successes in important collective exhibitions held in Naples, Ardenza (LI), Rome, Bagnara Calabria, Reggio Calabria, Palermo, Modena, Brindisi, Milan, Varese, Wolfsburg, etc. Devoid of honors, gifted with vivacity of talent and boldness of thought, rich in high and noble sentiments, forged to the immortal principles of Christianity, he made pictorial life his mission of life, dedicating to it the passionate impulses of his mood.
