Angela Vigorito
Angela Vigorito was born in Montano Antilia, in the Cilento area, in the province of Salerno, on 24 August 1958. She approached art in 2008 out of sheer curiosity and pastime, attending courses in painting over the years. Soon the production of works inspired by abstract expressionism began, where with the power of the gesture, the use of color with both hands and the fluctuating writing creates intimate and vital shapes and images, which seem to go beyond, the space of the canvas .
But it also lets itself be carried away by formal rigor, by the informal and with poor materials, scraps and residues together with glues, woods, plaster, resins, assembles forms and rewrites stories.
Useless objects, lost returning, take new shape and remain forever, nothing is lost but everything is transformed, transfigured.
Between two worlds, light and shadow, life and death, one inside the other and sometimes the two styles merge and finally subside.
